University of Santo Tomas

University of Santo Tomas is the Asia's first University and the Catholic University of the Philippines. It was founded in April 28, 1611 by Reverend Miguel de Benavides and located inside the Intramuros Church, but due to the increased number of students to accomodate and need a large campuses, they moved to the present location which is in the district of Sampaloc, Manila, Philippines.

It is also the oldest and the largest University in Manila where it is presently located and meaasures 215,000 square meters.

The University is also active in sports. They have an athletic teams that gave them awards on different championship games.

Many would like to study and attain their degree in the University because it is one of the prestigious schools in the country and more professionals and well known people finished their education in the said school.
